Predictive Analytics for Cancer Screening

Doctoral Dissertation ShinyApp

My dissertation project focused on identifying spatial and sociodemographic disparities in breast and cervical cancer screening across Florida using advanced data visualization and geographic information systems (GIS). Leveraging publicly available cancer screening and population health data, I developed an interactive ShinyApp to map screening rates and examine associations with social vulnerability, race/ethnicity, and rural-urban classification. The project highlights key areas with low screening uptake and high vulnerability, offering actionable insights to guide targeted public health interventions and resource allocation.
